Our company has been an independent manufacturer of wood-fuelled boilers since its establishment, in 1964, by Paul MAROLLAUD. During these 45 years, it has become recognised for its expertise in producing heat from biomass.
Silene offers a comprehensive range of boilers fuelled by logs, blocks or pellets; of cookers with or without boilers; of stoves fuelled by logs or pellets; and of hot-air generators fuelled by wood waste.

Sustainable development is everyone’s concern.

By seeking the best value for money and drawing on support from a network of professional workers trained in the technologies of tomorrow, we are able to direct new categories of customers to the latest-generation of wood-fuelled heating.

Changing our appearance, and a change of name

In 2010, we are displaying a new identity that expresses our aims: supplying wood-fuelled boilers and stoves that can be regarded as gold-standard products; simple and robust, while being mid range. Silene is the French name for Silenus, a character in Greek mythology, represented by a bundle of firewood; nothing could be better than this character to illustrate the company’s refocusing on his historic role, as summarised in the words heat and wood.
